Mallory Taylor House

 Mallory Taylor House, Circa 1890 is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, LaGrange, Kentucky.  An Excellent Example of a Two-Story Victorian Vernacular T-Plan.  Front Facing Gable has a Bold Cornice Return and Circular Vent.  Shed-Roofed Front Porch is Supported by posts with sawn work "Capitals".  The house was originally built for Stephen Mallory Jr. son of Steven Mallory - Member of Congress from LaGrange 1860-1865 who worked closely with President Lincoln to keep Kentucky in the Union during the Civil War. Steven Mallory Jr. (the son) was the namesake and funder of the Mallory - Taylor Hospital in LaGrange, Kentucky, the first Hospital for the community built in 1907.
